Expansion Montreal to open MLS season at Vancouver

NEW YORK - Major League Soccer's season opener will have an all-Canadian matchup when the expansion Montreal Impact play at the Vancouver Whitecaps on March 10.

The NHL's Montreal Canadiens play at the Vancouver Canucks that night.

The following day, the New York Red Bulls open at FC Dallas in the first game broadcast by NBC's networks under a three-year agreement. Also on March 11, the MLS Cup finalist Houston Dynamo open at Chivas USA.

Philadelphia opens at Portland on March 12 in the final of four nationally televised matches on the opening weekend that were announced Tuesday.
